The “3G Applicable Software Technological Training Course” which was jointly organised by the Bureau of Telecommunications Regulation (DSAT), CTM, Hutchison Telecom Macau and China Unicom Ltd saw a successful conclusion yesterday.
The training course was held from July to September and had hosted its graduation dinner and certification awards for students on October 8.
DSAT hoped that the training course would increase participants' understanding of 3G (Third Generation) technology, push technical application development, propel the overall development of the information and communications sector and develop  local information and technology talent.
This was the first time organising such a training course which targeted 3G applicable software technology and which also saw invited, technological gurus and professionals from Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Singapore and Macau to introduce the telecom development in those cities.
The students not only mutually exchanged experiences with the various tech experts, but also participated in mutual visiting activities where they had the opportunity to visit Telecom Operators and Content Providers in mainland China.
Tou Veng Keong , director of  DSAT, said at the graduation dinner that he hoped students could apply what they had learnt during the course in the near future in order to make real contributions to society.
