A tourism dispute took place at a local hotel yesterday after the tour guide changed the original itinerary without the agreement of the 11 tourists from the Mainland's city of Shanwei. The Chinese tourists who joined a two-day tour to Macau arrived yesterday and checked into the Fu Va Hotel at Rua de Francisco Xavier Pereira. However, the local tour guide later told the group to condense the two-day activities into one day and that today would be their free day of activities. The tourist opposed the change and both parties began a quarrel in the hotel concourse. Police were called in for mediation and the dispute ended peacefully within half an hour by 5:00 pm. |
