The US based entertainment firm MGM Mirage and Dubai World could make joint investments in Macau and the mainland, according to MGM's Chairman and CEO Terry Lanni and cited by the Financial Times. Lanni, who has just seen MGM open its first casino in Macau, said the projects would be 'non-gaming'. Dubai World secured a 4.8 per cent holding in MGM Mirage in October and the two firms are partners in Las Vegas' CityCentre. Cricket Festival on today A Cricket Sports Competition entitled “Harmony Cup Softball Cricket Sixes” today, at the Hou Kong Middle School's football ground, close to the reservoir. The event is the first of its kind to be held in Macau, and aims at promoting and celebrating harmony and peace in Macau. The event will also include a “Cricket Festival” which starts at 12:15pm, when children and the general public will have the opportunity to play cricket with cricket players participating in the competition. Cricket players will also be available for a photo taking session, and organisers are encouraging the general public to try and wear the complete cricket gear and take memorable photos with players who are participating in the competition. The final cricket match will start just before 4pm, and will see the two best cricket teams battle it out for the title. The general public is encouraged to participate in the event, celebrating harmony, peace, and cultural and religious harmony in Macau. Admission is free. |
