Yoga World will celebrate its first anniversary in Macau with the opening of its second club in the heart of Taipa. Yoga World Taipa is located on the ground and first floor of the Flower City Building on Olympic Avenue. Facilities and services will include Yoga Studio, Group Exercise class studio, resistance and cardio equipment for personal training, indoor cycling classes, and a fully equipped pilates equipment studio. Memberships will be available from October 1 and the club is due to open in December.
Yoga World plans to open five clubs in Macau and expand into the mainland within the next two years. "Our business model in Macau is built around a simple concept - bring health & fitness to the people" said Michael Kyprianou, co-founder of Yoga World. "In area, Macau is small, only 28 square km but has almost 600,000 people living here and because the public transport is very overcrowded and the roads are congested people tend to stay around areas where they live or work. We will open three more clubs in the major business and residential areas of Macau by the middle of 2010, that means almost everyone will be able to walk to one of our clubs for their warmup!...after that Yoga World goes to China."
